My goal as a counselor is to walk with you on the journey to help you re-imagine your life, find strength to cope and heal, and be renewed and fulfilled so the authentic you can emerge.
Are you ready for the journey? Inside my office walls (virtual too) I provide a haven and safe space to talk candidly about current and pass stressors and find new strategies to bring mental wellness. We discuss current behaviors, past traumas and coping mechanisms that no longer are helpful and find new ways to live a more fulfilling life. This is not another place where you will just give, this is a place where you and your mental wellness are prioritized, and your voice is heard and strengthened.

What is counseling?
- Erase all the depictions you have had before from tv of a person laying on a couch while the therapist sits with a big pad of paper formulating a diagnosis. While I have a couch and some comfy chairs, counseling is all about time spent on you! Sounds strange right? Nope, you deserve time and a space to share your fears, your tears, your hopes, and your dreams in a nonjudgmental environment. You know that one thing you don't want to share with anyone else, or that feeling you've shared with numerous people who just don't get it? Brown Beatty Counseling & Consulting is the place where someone will "get it" and you! There is a quote that says, "there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you". I will add on to that and say, that agony intensifies when you tell that story and people still don't get it or you. Counseling is your place to tell your story, get support on your journey and create the new narrative that brings you closer to being able to live an authentic repurposed life. Counseling at Brown Beatty Counseling & Consulting is designed to repurpose your pain. You can receive therapy in Cincinnati or via online counseling if you are a resident of Ohio.
So who are will go on this journey with me?
- I am Dr. Ros and I am the owner and licensed professional counselor at Brown Beatty Counseling & Consulting. I provide ndividual, couples, family and group counseling. I am licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor by the National Board of Cerified Cuunselors (NBCC). I am a therapist, a healer, an empath, an encourager, and a pretty awesome person (so I've heard). More details about my professional achievements are listed on the meet Dr. Ros page. I have a holistic approach that is client centered and trauma informed. I believe committing to a healthier lifestyle is just that – a commitment, and it’s a big one that will take a lot a dedication. But believe me when I tell you, it will be worth it! My personal commitment is to provide you with accountability, understanding and support while you navigate this part of your journey.
Why are you self-pay only?
- Simply put, I enjoy the freedom of not having to give clients a diagnosis for their care (although diagnosis aren't necessarily bad). This allows for more treatment modalities, holistic practices, and trauma informed techniques to be used without the overhead of insurance companies dictating the length and type of treatment someone can receive for their journey towards mental wellness. I have extensive training and experience in clinical mental health counseling and a vast history of client success. I'm known for my skills but even more known for my ability to be compassionate and encouraging. Having a self-pay only private practice allows me to work authentically with each client and create the treatment goals that we feel best facilitate healing.
